Hey Kiri :)

I have a couple of surprising things to both announce and ask about. Are you still studying at UNC?
If so, you could probably meet up with Pierre, he's currently doing an exchange over there! :o

Also, after... what, 8 years, i'll be traveling back to the states over this christmas break :D (For Pierre's wedding, no less)
Not too sure of my itinerary yet, but if possible, it would be awesome if we could meet up after so long, what do you say?

Errm, good news and bad news o.o
Bad news is, we're not going anywhere close to north carolina ._. Boston is the only place on the west coast we're heading to, most of our time will be spent in California.
Good news is, i wouldn't mind flying down for a few days if everyone's ok with it. (i'd rather make plans first and get consent later :s)
What's the closest city with an airport? I'm so used to international flights that having so many airports in one country - one STATE even, its just so confusing.

Or are there other cheaper ways to travel, besides by car?

Or would you like to come up to Boston for a few days? *bats innocent eyelashes* I'll pay for the transport costs :)

Lets see... Asheville itself has an airport, but it can get expensive to travel there, so if you went somewhere close by like Charlotte or Greensboro (even Raleigh, but that's a long drive) I could come get you from the airport.

Lets see... the flight would be something like $350 (according to this site), a train from Boston to Charlotte would be... oh, looks like only about $150.

Trains are much better anyway. ^__^

Man... that's tempting... to take a train up to visit.

Though I doubt your family cares about seeing me, much less letting me hang around for a few days. Heh. Wonder why...

Anyway, it would be fun to show you around Asheville. Its a really beautiful place. ^__^

Do you have any preference? Would you rather come up to Boston, or have me go down to Asheville? ^_^ Really, i'm sure the family wouldn't mind. Things should be much better now that we're older, anyways ;p I'll hear your opinion before i give mine, wouldn't want to influence you prematurely ;)

Never mind the costs for now, let's settle plans :) I adopted a never-say-die approach to life just for situations like this. I also think the train would be best, despite the two way 30 hour commute ^^;

Sadly, we'll only be in Boston for one week, 22nd to 29th of december- I asked my dad to reschedule my flight to 3-4 days earlier so that i could meet you while at the same time being with my family for christmas and (of course!) the wedding! Will let you know about the re-scheduling possibility when i get a response :)

Are your parents still in fayetteville, or have they moved closer? I was thinking it would be nice to see them again too :s (I still remember, on the day you left Cambodia, your dad shook my hand and said "i have the feeling i'll see you again." I would be obliged not to disappoint him ;))
